First tenants sign up for new development at Mansfield
Greggs and Screwfix have been confirmed as the first tenants of a new development at Mansfield-based Old Mill Lane which is being delivered by leading property development and investment group, Strawsons Property.
Securing 1,350 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space respectively, the two businesses will benefit from the site’s location on the main arterial route to the North of Mansfield with access to the A60 – a location that provides ‘exceptional accessibility and passing trade’.
Construction is now underway on the project and the tenants are expected to be in-situ this autumn, with commercial property agents Innes England who are jointly marketing the project with CPP confirming there is ‘significant interest’ in the third and final 1,350 sq ft multi-purpose unit.
Adam Jones of Strawsons Property said: “Successfully securing Greggs and Screwfix as tenants at the Old Mill Lane project is indicative of the demand that is out there for high quality and accessible units in Mansfield.
“Interest in the final unit remains high and we are looking forward to further complement the food, drink and trade counter offering already secured.”
Regarded as the largest bakery chain in the UK with over 1,800 shops and 6 million weekly visitors, the new Greggs shop will sit directly alongside the Screwfix outlet – the UK’s largest multi-channel retailer of trade tools, accessories and hardware products. Other local businesses on the estate include Volvo, FCC and PTS.
Strawsons Property is a private property development and investment group with more than 40 years’ experience. The company focuses on developments and schemes that meet local needs and aspirations – spanning office, residential, industrial and mixed-use sectors.
Commenting on the Old Mill Lane project Ben Taylor, a Director at Innes England, said: “The commitment from Greggs and Screwfix to the development at such an early stage is testament to the prominence and success of the location, and to the quality of the build being managed by Strawsons Property. It is no surprise that interest in the third unit, which can be used for multiple purposes, is so high.”
